Dr. Alexander Haskell holds a medical license in the state of Utah as a Naturopathic Physician
with full diagnostic, laboratory and pharmaceutical rights. He is a graduate of National College of Natural Medicine
and has practiced for the last 28 years.
Dr. Haskell’s true expertise is investigating and addressing the reasons or what the causes are of a person’s condition.
“So often I find that they know much more about their condition than they realize. I ask questions
that no other physician has ever asked them. The consultation is a time of rich self-discovery. It’s
really a matter of getting them in touch with their intuition and instincts. And to my amazement what
we discover is often reflected in their lab results.”
“Lab testing serves two purposes. For me it is absolutely essential for understanding the depth of a person’s problem and how far out of balance their system has become. The results are also important for education. To explain the details of an objective lab report is a real motivator for a person to make changes in their life. People want to know what’s going on with their health and showing them the science increases their motivation and compliance.”
Dr. Haskell’s approach is truly holistic and addressed
the full range of conditions from prevention to pathology.
“By holistic I mean that there’s a thread that runs through a person’s problems, from the organ or tissue, through to the chemistry that bathes these tissues, to the thoughts and emotions that directly influence this chemistry. We are whole and no matter how sick a person is, they still function as a whole. It’s a full circle; what we think and feel affects every cell and every cell influences the quality of our thoughts and feelings.”
Over the years Dr. Haskell has included therapies and protocols in his
practice that he knows work.
“If I can help them to improve their vitality, to help them feel stronger, then
often the problems that exist will disappear. And there are many ways to help increase people’s vitality.”
- Nutritional recommendations according to lab results, symptoms and basal metabolic rate.
- Endocrine glandular supplements & prescriptions to balance and support the thyroid, adrenals, pancreas and pituitary glands
- Nutritional food supplements and amino acid therapies for balancing moods and behavior based on Dr. Haskell’s research and mentoring with Julia Ross
- Cleansing the body of environmental toxins and metabolic waste using raw foods, colon hydrotherapy and chelation
- Ozone therapy (note, this link takes you to a 45 minute documentary) for increasing vitality, the oxygenation of tissues and the resolution of chronic infections.
- Intravenous solutions of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and glandulars for rejuvenation and the correction of endocrine imbalances.
- Neural therapy through another mentor Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt to free up neural blockages from past traumas and surgeries
- Homeopathy for cleansing and to improve the strength of a person’s constitution
“I’ve seen miraculous things happen over the years. And the remarkable part of witnessing change in people’s health is realizing that it’s the person, their inner physician, that’s doing the healing. It’s not necessarily the thing I’ve prescribed for them to do or to take but mostly it’s what’s inside the person that takes it and uses it to restore the health of their body and mind. I suppose the biggest challenge is to help people get in touch with this part of themselves and to actively remove from their systems what is encumbering their inner healer from doing what it does best, to restore their health.”
Dr. Haskell finds working within a community of other practitioners to be very supportive and complementary. This community includes a colon hydrotherapist for cleansing and improving the inner ecology of the system, acupuncturists for balancing the important autonomic nervous system, soft chiropractic for alignment and improving the body’s electrical pathways, massage therapists for lymph drainage and resetting the important role of relaxation, an oriental approach to facial and body aesthetics, and the work of his daughter as a Lifestyle Educator who focuses on nutrition and dietary menus that complement her father’s assessments.
